Like analogue tape, vinyl has it's own distinct sound. A well cut vinyl or acetate record has a massive recording resolution that puts digital systems to shame. First, tracks are mastered and recorded via the cutting lathe to acetate. Then, they are played back via our Linn Sondek transcription turntable to our HD recording system, it's a similar method to using half-inch tape just with a different medium.
