LOUD Independent creates a session designed to turn your CD master around in the quickest possible time without sacrificing quality. High spec PC's are used in conjunction with very high quality programs and plug-ins to optimize your music effectively and efficiently. Each track is viewed separately (and within the context of the album/single) and mastered with this in mind. All client notes and suggestions are carefully adhered to with the best of our ability and time will be taken to achieve a good level of satisfaction. We do not apply the "bash it out with one preset setting" philosophy. All processing is done within the PC and the audio stream is not converted to analogue at any stage for this service. The audio has to be supplied on CD as either data files of audio files for this session to work, any digital transfers (such as from DAT or Umatic) are charged at a separate rate, click here for more details. Data files can be copied directly to the hard drive of the session computer resulting in a more accurate source material. Audio CD's will be "ripped" as slow as the program will allow to maintain quality control. Data files are only converted to 16bit 44.1k at the final writing process.

Dell PC's running Windows XP, Sony CD Architect 5 (Red Book CD Premastering), Adobe Audition audio editor and file conversion (MP3, RA, AIFF etc.), Western Digital 7200rpm ATA audiodrives, Internal & SCSI CD writers (burnproof, 1x to 40x write speeds), Digiram VX Sound cards, ATC SMC100a Active Monitors, Sony metering, DDPi.

The Mastering studio is a large, air-conditioned facility situated in Taunton. The benefits of Mastering here are an experienced engineer, accurate monitoring and metering and quality control for assured results.
